I’m a sucker for books about forbidden love and adventure, and Water for Elephants was no exception. Today, the movie version opens, and if you’re anything like me, that’s not necessarily a good thing. Very rarely is the movie as good as the book, much less better than it, but I have my fingers crossed for this one. With Reese Witherspoon, Christoph Waltz, that guy from Twilight, and a traveling circus –and not that cheesy kind with the scary clowns but a dreamy menagerie to which to escape –how can you go wrong?

I wish! We were told that elephants come through there, but (luckily?) didn’t see any at the ceremony site :)
BEAUTIFUL! Just when I think I have found the wedding idea of my dreams, I see something new! I love this!
Thanks Jenn!
That wedding dress is so amazing! I love it!! Must have if I ever do a vowel renewal.
I sooooo love that dress too! You should check out all the new Reem Acra gowns via the link. They are gorgeous!
In Love with this idea!
Elephant by Africa was a nice touch lol. Those shoes are so cute!
I loved that book too! Part of me is excited to see the movie because I love Reece but the other part of me is afraid of being disappointed. (When you read, you’re able to picture the characters and the setting(s) in your head and I oftentimes think that the way things look in my head is better than the movie.) Let me know what you think of the film if you go see it!
I know what you mean! To me, the film was visually beautiful to watch. I wish that there had been more character development. There were some twists with key characters too! And the relationship between Marlena and Jacob seemed a bit rushed. I know it’s hard to translate a novel into a two hour screenplay, so everything considered they did a good job :) The three other people that I went with (that didn’t read the book) loved the movie! :)
Lorie! You are totally styling my wedding when the day comes – hopefully soon! Miss you lots and cant wait to see more of your awesome work!
Um…YES!!! I can’t wait for your fantastic Southern wedding! My fingers are crossed that it happens soon ;)
