Continued from Holiday Recap Part 1!
I swear we have the cutest friends. :)
I think Nate would have been an amazing gymnast had he’d been given the chance! I don’t know anyone else that would not wipe out from this sledding mishap :
FAVORITE : Nate’s “sledding smile.”
We also saw my Dad for the first time in two years. I’ll never let it go that long again!
Went to the most intense cookie decorating event I’d ever seen and met my step mom’s family :
My masterpiece – It’s a Scottie dog wearing a plaid sweater, clearly!
Dad took us to an MD-11 Sim… My first one since I was 12, and Nate’s first one, ever.
For the first time, I almost landed! It wasn’t pretty, but Dad said we would have walked away from it. And as Dad always told me, “Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing!” :) Nate, however, took to it like a fish and water… I see potential flight lessons in his future. :)
Huck was not a fan of one of our Christmas gifts, “Racing Grannies.” Clearly, that means we’ll be taking video of it soon enough! ;)
One of our brides wrote me on Facebook and asked what sports jersey Huck was sporting all winter – He was wearing a reindeer costume! I’m a little sad the cute hood didn’t show up in 95% of our photos, though!
We went to Indiana to spend the couple days before Christmas with the rest of Nate’s family. December was officially Huck’s favorite, ever. I don’t think he’d been around so many different people in such a short amount of time before!
Me and my lovely sister-in-law waiting for present time…
Yes, we gave her Minnie Mouse ears. :)
Huck’s single favorite moment in December : I let him try peanut butter. :)
I hope YOU all had equally wonderful holidays! :)
Princess Christy says
Oh peanut butter for the puppy. My first dog LOVED peanut butter – if she was ignoring her food, sometimes she found PB on it!
Jensey says
What a great idea! Though, our little Huck has *never* had a problem ignoring his food! ;)
Hi, Jensey! Great post! Looks like you and Nate had a wonderful Christmas. I like the shots of the MD-11 sim. Is there any chance your dad can get me an interview? :)
OOOOH, I loves the Huck pics! His first time having peanut butter?? He loved, right? You gotta buy those little toys that have a hole and you fill them with peanut butter !(or whatever else you like to fill in there) Keeps them occupied for hours..unless it’s my dog, then minutes!
I have those Minnie ears :D Carrie sent them to Kayla and I..or just Kayla? But I mostly wear them.
and fer serious, MOST intense cookie decorating event I have ever seen pictured as well! Looks like a ton of fun, and kinda sums up what the holidays are all about!
Glad yall were surrounded by so much, fun, love and family this season!
Huck loooooved the peanut butter! I was hoping to get him smacking his mouth all crazy like as my last dog did, but he just kept licking his tongue all over the place!
Thanks for the comment, Jenn, hope your holidays were just as wonderful! :)
We need to see some sledding footage from Nate’s hat cam!
I agree!
Wait wait wait…Huck’s FIRST time eating peanut butter?!! BAD Mommy…bad, bad, bad. It’s Lugnut’s absolute favorite thing in the world……………..well, besides popcorn. ;)
I knoooooooooooow! We were hoping he’d smack it around, but he just kept licking instead. What a let down!
Ahhh….YES, my pups LOVE peanut butter. It’s great to use if you ever have to give meds to a dog or just to use as a treat.
The Roots had some awesome travels over the holidays…..so glad that you got to see so many special people and do such fun things…Yes, that is what the holidays are all about!!!!
Love that you share your fun with all of your fans/friends. Thank you!
We used to use cheese to hide Huck’s meds in so he’d eat em, but now he’s such a little piglet, he’ll eat anything!
We had so much fun over the holidays – I’m ready for December again! :)
