The only time I seem to get nervous on wedding mornings is when we haven’t met our couple yet. It kind of feels like the first day of school all over again- Will they like me? What if we don’t get along? What if I say something stupid? What if I can’t think of anything to say? It’s very similar to the feeling I get before every meeting we have. Anyway, somewhere between pulling up to this cute sign at Morgan’s Mom’s home and getting the biggest hug of my life from the bride, I was feeling sooooo much better about the day. :)
Not only was Morgan’s dress gorgeous, but she also had a name- Shelly! Why doesn’t everyone name their wedding gown?! I was eating it up… “I’m gonna drag Shelly away for some photos real quick.” “Shelly is gooooorgeous!” “Can you play with Shelly’s skirt for a few photos?” You get the picture. ;)
This was kinda the start of the ring bearer’s emotional breakdown. Poor kid- He was so stressed out. :(
I LOVE HAPPY BRIDES!!!!
I always call the getting ready time the “it takes a village” moment of the day. No photo demonstrates why better than this! :)
Since we didn’t know the area at all, Morgan helped decide where to do her bridal photos beforehand. When she took us to this street that was lined with banyan trees, I knew we were on the same page. :)
Morgan’s sister gave her a letter from Jason, which got everyone all teary. :)
One of my all-time favorite bridal portraits!
So, back to the ring bearer… It was soon his turn to take a photo with the bride, but he wanted nothing to do with it. The next series consisted of Morgan doing everything in her power to make him laugh, and finally succeeded- But look closely at the 4th photo, particularly his nose!! FAVORITE.
I loooooved this wedding idea! We’ve seen in the past couples offer flip flops to their guests when having a beach wedding, but I fell in love with Morgan’s washing/drying station for their guests to clean their feet. It was such a hit, and their guests were able to make it to the reception without that grainy-wet-sand-feet feeling!! :)
Morgan was just a tad bit excited…
… And so was Jason! Their wedding and reception were held on the beach at the Boca Grande Club.

I especially love the pictures with the bridesmaids.

Thanks, Lydia!! I love the bridesmaid shot, too. :)
Both Morgan and Shelly look beautiful! And the one of the ring bearer, it totally reminds me of that scene in Big Daddy. Different orifice, same gross-out effect. It’s a good thing he’s so darn cute!
I’ve never seen Big Daddy! I’ll add it to my Netflix queue. ;)
Love the pics! She totally looks like someone I could be BFF’s with. We will have not met you guys before you photograph us but expect big hugs from me. I am a huge hugger. We hope you will like us as well. You have to…we ARE awesome :)
GOOD! Big hugs are best. :)
Beautiful :)
Thanks, Megan. :)
I love your description in the beginning of it feeling like the first day of school! I totally feel like that if I haven’t met the couple yet. One of my least favorite parts because I don’t know if we are going to get along or if it will be awkward all day!! I feel your pain about meetings too. Every once in a while you get someone that just doesn’t click and the meeting is uncomfortable. It makes me nervous too :-) Beautiful photos by the way. That tree lined path is gorgeous!
Ugh, meetings can be the worst… We’ve been really lucky, I know, but there’s always that *one*. So glad to hear you feel the same. :) Thanks so much for commenting, Lauren!
Goreous photos and a gorgeous bride! My favorite part of the post, hands down, the photo of the ringbearer!!!!! I laughed out loud for real :)
i LOVE this bride!! her dress, i mean shelly is gooooorgeous! and i LOOOOOOVE the snot shot!!
