It feels like just yesterday we photographed Sarah Kroger swingin’ on a tire swing for her album shoot in Nashville, and now she’s MARRIED! This gorgeous little sister of Nate’s gorgeous college best friend married the sweetest man in Melbourne. The day was so packed with love for this amazing couple, topped only by their love for each other, topped only by their mutual love for God.
Sarah and Dom’s engagement involved Monsieur Paul’s, the fancy UPSTAIRS French restaurant in Epcot with fireworks in the background, and then a proposal in the chapel of their home church, where they also had their wedding. The perfect proposal for the sweetest Sarah!
We first met with Sarah the morning of their wedding for some getting ready photos. Again, Sarah is the younger sister of Nate’s college best friend, Danielle (I really hate saying she’s *his* friend, by the way. I officially claim shared friend-ownership of Danielle!)
And why wouldn’t I? This is the second time we’re seen Danielle dress a bride (the first being Maria!), and her paramount faces during this particular moment on a wedding day make me belly laugh like no other while editing. :) We love you, Danielle!!
Oh Sarah, you were stunning.
We’d known Sarah for years but never met Dom until later in their wedding day, but this is the very moment I fell in love with him- Dom wrote notes for his bride to open every hour from wake-up to just before the ceremony. Can we all just swoon for a second?!
And the award for favorite flower girl of 2015 goes to this fierce little one! Her faces were priceless and yes, that’s her taking a pre-ceremony dip in the holy water!
She was terrified to walk down the aisle and decided to sit this one out!
Then it was wedding time in the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
We took some quick photos in that little chapel where Dom proposed, then it was on to the beach!
One of my favorites!!! The difference between me and Nate- I’d put down my camera and run from the rushing water, he runs and shoots backwards! :)
Sister goals. :)
The one on the right? Another favorite! :)
Sarah is an incredible Christian music artist (check out her music here!!) When they got engaged, Dom said he dreamed of having “Sarah Kroger” sing at his wedding. Sarah kept brushing it off, saying that no, this is her one day off! Sarah ended up not only surprising her groom with a performance at the reception, but with a song she wrote for their wedding day. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house, mine included!
Fun Sarah Kroger fact : Once upon a time, there was an attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios called The American Idol Experience. All day they had shows where guests would compete against each other, like in American Idol, and there would be one winner. At the end of the day, all the winners competed for a “Dream Ticket” that would allow them to bypass the queue at a regional American Idol audition. This last show was played on the big screen outside the theater for park guests to watch. Imagine our surprise when we’re walking past the American Idol Experience a few years ago, look up at the big screen, and see our friend Sarah singing! :)
Sarah and Dom, we wish y’all the happiest of ever afters and truly hope to see you again soon!! :)
