If this has ever happened to you, just try to remember the differences by simplifying them: Memorial Day is for the fallen, Veterans Day is for thanking those who have served.<\/p>\n<p>So wishing people a happy Memorial Day or gloating about how excited you are for Memorial Day weekend is offensive and hurtful to someone who&#8217;s lost a loved one in service.<\/p>\n<p>Got it?
